TOOLS

Tools for the part of link building nobody automated

Prospect discovery has good software and outreach has good software. The work between them is still tabs and spreadsheets: deciding which of these pages is worth a message, ordering what survives, and checking afterwards whether the links are really there. That is the whole scope of WebDiagnosis. Two tools are live; two are being built and neither has a date.

SORTIn build

Prospect List Sorter

Rank a prospect list against the site you are actually building links for.

Give it your site or campaign alongside the list. It orders the rows by how close each page sits to your subject, how much of a real site is behind it, and how useful it looks for this campaign rather than in the abstract. Relevance is a property of a pair, not of a URL, which is why this cannot be a column in the checker.

MONITORIn build

Bulk Link Checker and Monitor

Re-check the links you built on a schedule, and hear when one changes.

The Backlink Verifier answers whether a link is there today. Monitoring answers whether it is still there next month: it re-reads the same pages on a schedule and reports the links that disappeared, turned nofollow or ugc, changed anchor or target, or now sit behind a redirect, compared with the last reading. A link that quietly changed is worse than one that was never built, because you are still billing for it.

BESIDE WHAT YOU ALREADY PAY FOR

This replaces none of your stack, and it is honest about which parts are better than it

Every tool below is good at the job it was built for. The comparison worth making is not which is better; it is what each one does when you hand it a spreadsheet of exact URLs somebody else assembled, because that is the input this whole category is bad at.

Tool What it is genuinely good at What it returns on a list you already hold
Ahrefs, Semrush Finding prospects, and domain-level metrics at a scale nobody else can match. Better than us at both, permanently. Domain metrics for the host. Nothing about whether this page takes a comment, what a link on it would carry, or what it is about.
Majestic Topical Trust Flow is the most developed topical system in the market, across hundreds of categories. What the link graph says about the domain. It measures who links to a site, not what a page is about, and it has nothing to say about a page with no links.
Pitchbox, Respona Outreach at volume, with relevance built into how prospects are discovered in the first place. Relevance is a property of how a prospect was found. A list you did not discover through them arrives with no judgement attached.
BuzzStream Relationship and contact history. The CRM half of link building, which we do not touch. A place to qualify the list by hand. That is stated plainly in their own product, and it is the labour this exists to remove.
Single-URL checkers One question, answered free, in a second. Dofollow checkers, index checkers, DA checkers. One question, one URL, one tab. Six questions across a hundred rows is six hundred lookups.
WebDiagnosis Reading the exact pages on a list you already hold, and printing what was read. Up to twelve checks per row in one pass, including a page topic and a site category read from the page itself, with the evidence and an explicit Unknown.

Where we are weaker, plainly

  • No discovery. If you need prospects found, that is Ahrefs, Semrush or a SERP scrape, and it always will be.
  • No index. Every answer comes from opening the page today, which means a page we cannot read has no answer at all.
  • No outreach, no CRM, no sending. The report ends where your outreach tool begins.
  • Page topic is identified on a minority of pages, because most pages on a bought list carry no evidence of a subject. It declines rather than inventing one.

Where nothing else does the job

  • Whether a comment form is open on this exact page today, in bulk.
  • What a link there would carry, read from links already in that thread rather than from a platform default.
  • What the page is about, from the page, on a list nobody discovered for you. Every other approach answers this from a link graph, an index, or discovery time.
  • All of it together, on one page load, so the answers describe the same moment.

WHY SEPARATE TOOLS

They are separate tools because they answer different questions

It would be simpler to sell one box that does everything. It would also be dishonest, because the jobs need different inputs and produce different kinds of answer.

Question What it needs What kind of answer Tool
Can a link be placed on this page at all? The page Observed from the page, or Unknown Live
Is this page relevant to my campaign? The page and your site A ranking, not a yes or no In build
Is the link I built on this page, today, and what does it carry? The page and your client’s domain Found, Not Found or Unable to Verify, with every link listed Live
Is it still there next month, and did anything about it change? The page, and what it looked like last time A change since a previous reading In build

The middle row is why relevance is not simply a column in the checker. Relevance is a property of a pair, this page and your site, so it cannot be computed once and stored against a URL the way an open comment form can.
