Why WebDiagnosis exists
A purchased or exported prospect list arrives, and before anything useful can happen somebody opens every URL, scrolls to the bottom, looks for a comment form, views source to see what the existing comment links carry, notes the Domain Rating, and decides. Two to four minutes a page when nothing goes wrong. On a thousand-row list that is most of a working week, and most of it returns a no.
The judgement at the end still needs a person. The reading that gets you to it does not. That is the whole product.
The problem it actually solves
Domain-level metrics describe a domain, and whether a comment can be left is a property of one page and one template. The 1,001-row run published here found that not one of the 285 rows at Ahrefs DR 50 or above was among the 37 that could carry a followed comment link. Sorting that list by Domain Rating ordered it exactly backwards. That is the finding the tool is built around, and it is not flattering to the metric most of the industry sorts on.
How the evidence is handled
Every check reports what it read. Where there was nothing to read it reports Unknown rather than substituting a platform default, because an assumption in a column that looks like an observation cannot be told apart from one afterwards. Every published percentage carries its denominator, its date and its limitation. When a figure turns out to be wrong it is withdrawn on the page with the date of the change, which has already happened once on this site.
